Filmmaker Jessica Mae Stover, who hails from Virginia but works in L.A., is in Nags Head this week recharging her batteries and working remote on a revolutionary project.
ARTEMIS ETERNAL will be a professional sci-fi fantasy short intended for film festivals and traveling screenings. What’s revolutionary is the way it’s being produced. Through the internet, ordinary people can get involved in various ways, including helping to fund the film, starting at the $1 level. That’s right; one dollar US. How’s that for a long tail?
Stover hopes to harness the same grassroots (or netroots) power that thrust Ron Paul into the national spotlight in the absence of much mainstream media coverage; already the project has raised over $40,000.
